Aditional modification of Subaru test engine ignition advance

This bachelor’s thesis deals with design and application of an additional vari-able ignition advance for Subaru Robin EH34 engine connected with an experimental station TecQuipment TD301. At the beginning, a basic theory for the ignition advan-ce is given. Then a way how to measure an ignition point and engine characteristics is described. Manufacturing and assembly of the mechanism is covered. In the end a comparison of p-V and p- diagrams for various ignition settings is done. Influence of power output is discussed.
